Holiday Foods To Avoid When Pregnant
It’s Thanksgiving Day today and just a month to go, it’ll be Christmas. This is the time of the year when partying and food feasting are endless. But for expecting moms out there, the holidays may be a good excuse to occasionally overeat but do remember that there are foods that you should avoid in the same way that certain skin creams like acsonix are a no-no for the protection of the growing baby inside your tummy.
The following are just a few of the Holiday foods to avoid when you’re pregnant:
1.) Unpasteurized Soft Cheese – the moistness and acidity of such cheese provide the perfect environment for listeria bacteria to grow. When exposed to this bacteria, it can cause listeriosis which could lead to miscarriage or the loss of a baby at birth.
2.) Uncooked turkey
3.) Brownie Batter – consuming uncooked eggs increases risk of exposure to salmonella
4.) Wine
