Baby Acne

Glad that I was able to pacify a friend who has just delivered her newborn three weeks ago. She freaked out when she saw the tiny pimple-like bumps on her baby’s face this morning. She thought she’s having an early allergy to something. I took a look at it and found out that it’s baby acne. I comforted that there’s nothing to worry about and it’ll be gone in a few days.
Baby acne’s origin or cause is actually unknown. But it’s hypothesized that the hormones babies receive from their moms during pregnancy may be the cause. It normally clears up on its own but some moms found out that breast milk application on the pimple cures it faster.
