PostHeaderIcon TINY TOMS Shoes for Tots

TOMS shoes are the latest fashion fad to surface in the world of footwear.  Many are attracted to buying it because of two things: one, comfort; two, great cause.  Many friends who have TOMS have nothing but great praises how great the shoes feels on their feet.  They said that it’s great for walking, long walks even.  It’s available in myriad of styles and colors so the options are limitless.  Each pair of TOMS shoes is quite expensive though but because its for a great cause: “For every pair of shoes purchases, a pair is given away to a child in need.”

Speaking of kids, look what their new line TINY TOMS have for our little rascals:

PostHeaderIcon Food Gifts for Any Occasion

There are many ways to extend our greetings to a person during special occasions.  There are the high tech ways wherein you can send an electronic mail or cards, leave a greeting in the celebrant’s social networking site, send a mobile message and many more.  But nothing beats the thoughtfulness and sweetness that a personal greeting and gift conveys.  Distance isn’t also a problem now because online stores make delivery of gifts wherever your recipient may be in the world possible.

One creative way of sending your special thoughts and greetings to your friend or loved one is through writing on baked goods.  If you’d look at Sharris Berries, you’d see the enormous variety of goods that you can send: Mrs. Fields® Bites Basket, hand-dipped berries, easter baskets, velvet cakes, cupcakes and many more.

What’s great about food gifts is that it can be given to any gender so it’s suffice to say that it’s the safest and easiest gift to send on any occasion.

PostHeaderIcon Hot Tubs and Pregnancy

Pregnancy entails a lot of discomfort so it is but natural to resort to relaxing remedies that would alleviate all these.  Do remember though that sitting on hot tubs, although it sounds like a great way to ease muscle aches, isn’t advisable to do so.  Hot tubs can cause hyperthermia which can be dangerous to the fetus.    Studies have shown that there’s an increased risk in birth defects in babies of women who had an increased body temperature during the first few months of pregnancy.  Some studies also show results of miscarriages.  So if you are pregnant and still in your first trimester, temporarily close your tubs with hot tub cover to remind you that it isn’t safe to use it for the mean time.

PostHeaderIcon Declined Job Interview Invitations

Online work was scarce in the first few months of the year.  Well, in my 4-5 years of blogging, I noticed that’s the trend and it picks up by mid-March.  I’m thankful now that work has become constant these past few weeks.  In fact, I’ve received so many invitations for interview at Odesk but I couldn’t accept them all since I’m in my first few weeks of pregnancy and still isn’t fit to accept my normal workload.  I’m feeling dizzy most of the time.  I really feel bad especially if I have to decline those invites that are interesting like link building, ghost writing, technical writing (one’s about touch screen laptops), data entry, and many more.  I decline with deep regret and hope that I’d still get an opportunity to be invited again once I feel and get better soon.

PostHeaderIcon Careful Link Building

I can’t believe how some webmasters are careless when building their links in their websites.  I was checking out a blog about a certain parenting event when all of a sudden I got redirected to a skin care treatment site (click here).  Perhaps, the webmaster must be overloaded and overwhelmed with SEO works and designing works that he has jumbled the contents he’s working on.  He must be very careful next time.  Otherwise, his clients will back out and he’d be left with nothing.
