Finally, the schedule for Greenbelt 5’s 2010 Trick or Treat is out.  Among the so many Trick or Treat and Halloween Festivities happening in malls, Greenbelt 5’s schedule is our most awaited as it was here where my son enjoyed bagging all of these sweets and cool treats last year in his Dinosaur outfit.

See those gift certificates from Gymboree, The Picture Company Michellis and Time Zone plus other goodies from Crocs, Gingersnaps, Florsheim Kids, Zara Kids etc? No tricks, just all treats, indeed!

Here are the exciting activities that await the kids this Halloween season at Greenbelt 5.

Unlike last year’s event wherein kids have to register on the day of the activity, they have planned better this time as kids may already register at the Greenbelt 3 and 5 Concierge.   Perhaps, they have seen the loopholes last time so they’re improving the mechanics and procedure now. 

Huge thanks to my brother, my son has been registered this afternoon and is guaranteed of a slot.  We don’t need to rush on the mall’s opening hour of the 31st to fall in line.  I’m so excited for Little A as I know he’ll enjoy trick or treating again.  We just have to wait for his costume to arrive which is still in transit now and load him with vitamins so he will be in his best active and energetic condition come Trick or Treat Day.

Alabang Town Center has lined up the following Halloween parties for this month end:

HOOTS & HOWLS Halloween Party
Oct 31, 2010 (Sunday) 3-5pm

HOWL-O-WEEN PET PARTY
Oct 31, 2010 (Sunday) 4pm – Town Plaza

So if you are from the south, this would be the perfect Trick or Treat destination for your kids.  For a minimum P1,000 worth of single receipt from any shops at Alabang Town Center on October 30-31, your child will be entitled to get one (1) Halloween Trick or Treat pass.  I just don’t know if this pass will be a tear-type coupon book like the one used in Greenbelt 5’s Trick or Treat last year or it will be a passport type where a stamp (ink or perhaps like a notary stamp) shall be secured for redemption of the goodies.  I’ve read that there will only be 500 passes so you have to be fast.

For the kids in the Southern area, here’s a Halloween Costume Party that you must not miss.  Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park invites kids 12 years old and below to their Halloween event for this year: Cartoon Carnival.  It will be held on October 30, Saturday, 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Cavite Hall.  Registration fee is only P150.00 per child; inclusive of entrance for two companions, a loot bag and light snacks.  Kids are requested to come in their favorite cartoon character costume because up for grabs are cash prizes and gift packs for the most amusing and cutest costume.  Kids can also visit the Cartoon Carnival booths located at the Animal Island, the Oceania Water Park, and the Fishing Village to do Trick or Treat or collect additional goodies.  I’m sure each kid who will participate will be delighted over these goodies and they feel over the moon as if they won a free Royal Caribbean cruise.  Now how I wish there will also be an event similar to this for adults where cruises are up for grabs as prizes.  That would be absolutely cool, agree?

It’s just the first week of October but for most parents, I know that you’re already preparing for one of the most anticipated festivities yearly by kids..the Halloween!  Halloween for kids is synonymous to Trick or Treat or other Halloween Spook-tacular events in malls, kiddie venues, schools and neighborhoods.  By now, I’m sure you have started browsing the web for unique and cute costumes that your kids can don while stashing sweets and treats..or you may even have bought one already just like the excited, stage mama “me”.

Anyway, here’s a checklist of 2010 Metro Manila Halloween Activities to await this year.  I’ll try to update this every now and then for the newest and latest announcements I could get hold of from our favorite establishments.

Spooktacular October Happenings at TOY KINGDOM:

1.) Meet and Greet

Avail free face painting and get a chance to Meet and Greet Hasbro Mr. Potato Head, Marvel Heroes and Transformers Characters for kids who’ll be wearing any costume on weekends of October 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23 and 24 at Toy Kingdom of SM Makati and SM Megamall.

2.) Halloween Masquerade with Barbie: A Fashion Fairytale on October 31 at SM Makati
