PostHeaderIcon Quick Tips for Choosing a Watch

Choosing a watch that fits you and your lifestyle is fun and satisfying. Are you looking at chronographs from Omega or stylish Michele watches, or maybe you are someone who wants a few to choose from.
There are several types of watches: sport, casual and formal. Each type has its own features and benefits. Formal watches are usually chosen for appearance rather than function. Formal watches should be neutral in appearance and color so as not to compete with your clothing choice. These watches should be smaller in size so as not to become an intrusion of your formal clothing. They are often made of fine materials including gold, platinum, leather, diamonds, and other precious jewels.

Sport watches should be rugged in construction and design since they are usually worn during sports and activities. Titanium cases are a great choice due to the metal’s durability. Water resistance is also a feature to have with these watches.

Casual or everyday watches are a popular favorite and, when choosing this timepiece, comfort should be at the top of the list of features. Water resistance is an important feature in case you forget to take it off while doing dishes or showering.

Make sure your watch has the proper fit. At the store, be sure to try it on. Make sure the band can be adjusted to a comfortable snugness. You also don’t want the band to pinch. If you are choosing a link style band, you can have the links removed to create a better fit! You don’t want your watch to spin around or slide up and down your arm. An obvious exception to this is if you are choosing a bracelet or bangle style watch that is designed to fit loosely. If choosing a leather watchband, make sure it can be easily replaced since leather has a tendency to wear out faster.
