I have always been highly vocal about how I so adore and appreciate computers and the internet. They indeed make our lives easier, breezier and undoubtedly, more comfortable. Although, there are pros and cons, the advantages will always outweigh the cons. What I appreciate best about the internet is that I can work and earn quite a good amount without leaving our home. I can augment the family income but at the same time, I can still fulfill my foremost obligation as a homemaker and a mom.

As my work is largely dependent on a reliable computer (and a fast, stable internet connection), the last thing I would welcome is a computer crash, either due to malfunctioning hardware or a virus-infected system. I may be a little techie but I’m not an I.T. person who can understand all the complexities of computer systems. This is why I acknowledge the importance of computer experts specializing in technical system support as in the case of Portland computer repair experts of PCMD, Inc.

PCMD, Inc is a Portland pc repair company that specializes in IT works such as networking, Virus/Spyware removal, hardware/software installation, peripheral setup, or general computer training. They employ a pool of friendly computer experts who can remotely extend technical assistance in removing viruses or providing technical repair solutions for malfunctioning system operations. They also offer onsite services but in most cases, they need not visit homes physically as they are able to provide smart and effective technical solutions through their local network. However you can choose whether you would like remote service or in-home onsite service. Having Portland computer support guys around gives an online worker, such as me, peace of mind because there’s just someone out there who can help with computer woes 7 days a week! Such support is essential for someone like myself who relies so much on my trusty computer.

PostHeaderIcon A Beauty Expert Mama

I know of a Mom who, after a decade of being employed in the corporate world, finally resigned and decided to focus more on her family.  Her two kids, with ages 5 and 2, can’t be happier because it’ll be their Mom who’ll personally attend to their needs from now on.  However, she also plans to venture on a small home-based business that won’t require her to frequently travel elsewhere.  She feels that a one income family will hardly survive especially with the unstable economy that we have.  As she is into makeup, hair and skin care, she can actually pursue her interest at the same time help augment the family income without leaving their home by venturing into a small-scale beauty salon by their place.  If circumstances permit, she can enroll first in a Florida cosmetology School where her skills can be further honed.  I’ve always heard how exemplary Regency Beauty Institute has been and how their cosmetology curriculum has been madly sought by all beauty expert aspirants in the US.

This has been my constant companion whenever I’m working on my online writing assignments.  (Thank you Mom for these loots from Duty Free).  It keeps my senses awake and yes, in a way, gives me the drive and inspiration, too, especially when my load starts to become dragging.  I can actually devour one whole bar of this in just one sitting.  Thankfully my body still looks like I’m taking diet pills that work despite having a sweet tooth and a voracious appetite.

Happy Tuesday everyone!

So how’s your day so far?  My morning was pretty good and productive.  After doing mommy duties (feeding and bathing the little one), I cleaned up the aquarium of Agua and Bendita, the little one’s goldfishes.  Then, I proceeded to start on my blog writing works.  I didn’t cook for lunch today and instead just requested the little one’s nanny to fry the eggplant and prepare the red salted eggs.  Yummy!  I would have done it myself but I needed to be on my lappy because of tight deadlines.   The little one had lugaw with quail eggs and malunggay, on the other hand.  In a while or as soon as the little takes his noon nap, I’ll be starting on my other work which involves some admin and coding tasks.  It actually reminded me of an assignment I once did at Odesk in which I “copied and pasted” prevera reviews for one site.

I’m really thankful for having these work at home opportunities.  Very rewarding and easy and most importantly, I don’t need to get out of the house and leave my son behind.

PostHeaderIcon A WAHM’s Weekend To-Do’s

It’s Friday once again and since I’ll be busy this coming weekend because of offline obligations, I need to list down the necessary tasks to carry out.  Sometimes, my memory can’t be trusted that much anymore.

1. List down the menu for next week.

2. Prepare the grocery shopping list.

3. Have the windows’ measurements taken for the curtains that will be tailored.

4. Check out ideas and inspirations of chandeliers from Savoy house lighting.  We’ll be buying a simple, inexpensive one for the dining area.

5. Visit a friend in the hospital who has just had a miscarriage.

6. Shop for window blinds and other hardware stuffs.

7. Work on some newly given online assignments.
