Luxury Bed Linen and Allergies
Choosing the perfect luxury bed linen from The White Company for your bedroom shouldn’t only be limited to considering the material, thread counts and texture. We must be mindful that our bed linens are also a thriving ground of different allergens such as dust, dust mites and bed bugs. When you come in contact with these substances, your body could experience an allergic reaction. Allergy symptoms often include stuffy nose and congestion, runny and itchy eyes, hives and rashes or persistent body itchiness, sneezing, asthma, hay fever. Because of this, the type of fabric and its being dust mite-proof should be considered.
Here are some tips on maintaining luxury bed linen and how to prevent allergies:
1. Pillows should be encased in dust-mite proof cases.
2. Pillows must be aired regularly.
3. Clean the mattress thoroughly by using a HEPA filter vacuum.
4. Choose hypoallergenic pillows and bed linens.
5. Synthetic materials and high quality cotton are tightly woven so dust mites can’t get through the cloth.
6. Beddings should be washed at a temperature of 60 deg C minimum to kill the dust mites.
Music Summer School for Kids
Summer is the best time for kids to enroll in a summer school to beat the boredom brought about by the school break. I was planning to enroll my preschooler son in a music summer class but at this time I don’t think he’s not yet ready and decided which particular musical instrument he’d wish to learn. He’s familiar with a guitar, drums, piano and violin. He frequently pretends he’s playing them and seems enjoying. Besides, I deem that a Reading summer class would favor him better. Perhaps, next year, I’ll let him try.
Anyway, for those who have kids who are interested to learn playing the piano, violin, guitar, drums or simply about music, check out the following centers. I got hold of their flyers at the Kid Expo by Mommy Mundo held last month.
1. Musik Garten Manila

iPhone Camera
Other than the helpful and nifty applications in my iPhone, the thing I love the most about it is its handy camera. I love taking pictures of my kids and it’s truly a very reliable and convenient tool. The quality may not be at par with those of DSLRs and other high end digital cameras that can be bought with ritz camera coupons but at least, its being close-at-hand all the time is something to appreciate especially for Moms like me who have a preschooler and a baby. They grow up so fast so as much as possible I take pictures of their milestones as they grow up each day. Besides, the pictures taken by my iPhone is not that bad. What I’m after anyway is that I can easily take a snap and readily upload it to my Flickr, Instagram and Facebook accounts.
“Me” Time for WAHMs
For WAHMs just like me, working from home doesn’t mean that we deprive ourselves of beauty regimens and be glammed up. Aside from Mommy duties and having the household to manage, our work whether it be online or any home-based racket is very stressful and exhausting. That’s why we deserve to be pampered once in a while to rejuvenate and de-stress. We can go to the parlor for a haircut or maniped services, to the skin center for skin firming treatments and to the spa for some relaxing massage. We can also bond with our girl friends for some chitchatting or do shopping which, I’m sure, is everyone’s favorite. How about you..what is your favorite “me” time activity?
Home Based Business Ideas
For those who have always dreamed of being their own boss, starting a home-based business is an exciting venture aside from investing on silver bullion bars. If you have interests in crafts for example, you can turn a hobby into a lucrative racket. As selling merchandise online seems to be the trend nowadays, it’s easier now for your business to take shape since you don’t have to worry about lease or acquiring an office or a boutique to showcase your products. In fact, the internet is paving for you an even wider market reach because everyone has an access to the web. Selling online saves you on a lot of aspects like rental, transportation, employment and other costs.
Aside from craft business, the following ideas make great home-based projects, too:
1.) Freelance work like article writing, proofreading, typing, data entry work, and other freelance assignments online.
2.) Goods retailing
3.) Home-based service providers like house and office cleaning, garden care and maintenance, pet care, cooking and catering.
