Ever since I got my iPod Touch, I have been hooked to iTunes and always on the lookout for the newest and coolest application to download.  Here’s one of the recent ones I found: an application that can predict whether your baby will be a boy or a girl.

Boy or Girl Prediction by Sevenlogics, Inc.

Based on the chinese baby calendar chart, this is a simple and fun app that predicts the baby’s gender or tell which months to conceive to get the gender you want!

And oh, by the way, this app is for FREE and can be downloaded here.

Let’s see if its predictions will be true come the time we’re gearing for Baby # 2..perhaps, late this year?

Gone are the days when fresh graduates or those seeking new jobs would painstakingly bear the heat as they hop from one company to another in the business district to submit resumes.  Nowadays, looking for jobs in health care industry or in any other industries can be done easier now with just a click from their fingertips through the internet.  Resumes are electronically transmitted and with the even more advanced of web, video and audio conferencing, it is possible that all interviews can also be done online.  Well, actually, there are now even tons of work from home jobs so it seems like jobs will be all directed through the internet in the near future.

I fared pretty good with my studies from pre-school up to my college years.  I did not finish with the most prestigious top awards but my folks were proud with all the ribbons, academic certificates, honors and medals I was awarded at random years of my studies.  I wasn’t really that consistent because of certain subjects and topics that just didn’t “like” me or should I say, there’s one particular subject that has always been my waterloo.  Just like many of the students out there, I find Math problems hard to deal with.  Not everything about Math though because there are certain areas that I enjoy like Fraction topics and Algebra.   Geometry and Calculus were my least liked areas, thus, I needed Calculus help from my special someone (now my husband) back then.  He’s a Math wizard.  Not everyone is as lucky as me to have a private math wizard tutor.  But, actually, getting Math help (Algebra help, for an instance) is really easy nowadays on the internet.  Since everyone’s practically connected to the web these days, a student (K-12 or college) can actually secure Homework help from TutorVista, an online tutoring company that offers private teaching services in various subjects (not just Math).  For just a $99.99 monthly tutoring package, students can avail their unlimited service at any time through their virtual whiteboard workspace and live chat site features.  Getting math help can’t get more exciting and easier than this.

I have always been highly vocal about how I so adore and appreciate computers and the internet. They indeed make our lives easier, breezier and undoubtedly, more comfortable. Although, there are pros and cons, the advantages will always outweigh the cons. What I appreciate best about the internet is that I can work and earn quite a good amount without leaving our home. I can augment the family income but at the same time, I can still fulfill my foremost obligation as a homemaker and a mom.

As my work is largely dependent on a reliable computer (and a fast, stable internet connection), the last thing I would welcome is a computer crash, either due to malfunctioning hardware or a virus-infected system. I may be a little techie but I’m not an I.T. person who can understand all the complexities of computer systems.
