Life isn’t all about work.  That’s why it’s necessary that, once in a while, we let our body and mind get the rest that they need after toiling so much stress and exhaustion at work.  There is no better way to relax and unwind than go on a trip or vacation.  Aside from the weekly work breaks, it’s also advisable to take a grand vacation religiously each year.   There are tons of attractive destinations worldwide.  Whatever the preferences are in terms of the climate, culture, people, continent, food, activities, etc, the options are limitless.

In terms of rates and tour inclusions, there are also varied travel packages that a tourist can choose from.  There are cruise ships, luxurious hotels and trip packages to Europe for the more affluent ones, while there are also good deals on vacation rentals and even transient homes for those who are on a budget travel. 

A vacation rental is a fully furnished single-family home property like a villa, apartment, condominium, cottage, beach-house or a cabin that is offered for short term lodging for a reasonable amount of rental fee.  As tourists are leaning towards doing a practical travel nowadays, more and more people favor to stay in a vacation rental over a hotel when travelling in groups like with families or friends or even when on a honeymoon trip.

Desiree and Dan Mitchell got married in the late Fall last year. They decided to have a low key wedding and splurge on their honeymoon. From what I have heard last night they decided to have their honeymoon at an all inclusive Jamaica resort called Breezes in Negril Jamaica. They said since it started to get cold by late October, it was the a great break to enjoy the warmth of the island’s tropical breeze and of course the company of each other. Breezes have the best beach resort Negril has to offer; and they have a few properties to choose from peppered along the Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Runaway Bay. Their beaches offers fine soft sand, nice blue waters of the Caribbean seas and panoramic views that are so spectacular. They stayed at the Grand Negril Resort in a presidential suites with a jacuzzi located on their room’s private patio. The room was so spacious and relaxing. They never had to lift a finger as they were assigned a personal butler. Aside from relaxing, swimming and sun bathing, you can also do a lot other things while in Jamaica such as: Dunns River Falls Tour, horseback riding, deep sea fishing, visiting the Dolphin Cove, ATV Safari Tours, white water rafting, snorkeling, para-sailing, mountain biking, and other water and land recreational activities. They were also able to visit the Bob Marley Museum that features the famous late Bob Marley’s life and achievements. Since the couple were still hyped up from the honeymoon vacation, they recommended that me and my husband go there as well. They said we would have a hoot seeing people drive on the left lane of the road. They also reminded us that we will need to have our valid passports with us when visiting Jamaica.

The husband and I will be celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary in December. It’s still a half year away but I’d like to plan ahead of time so we can find the best possible vacation for our money.

Or walking the beach enjoying the magical sound of the waves. Maybe spending some time in the poolside Jacuzzi before bedtime. Now this is my ultimate dream vacation. I am not sure if we will be able to go this year. Since we have a toddler, we would have to find someone to care for him. The Breezes Bahamas resort is not a family resort location, although they have others in Jamaica, Panama, Curacao, and Brazil that are. Besides it wouldn’t feel like a real anniversary vacation with a little one to look after, and at the same time it is hard to leave him when he is still so young. So maybe our Bahamas anniversary vacation will have to wait a few more years.

God has been blessing us so much and I’m thankful. Online work is flourishing big time! And if this will continue, I guess I can have enough cash for my long time dream of boarding a plane for that long awaited Asia tours and national parks tours dream. I’m looking into rewarding myself for all the hard work I’ve been doing lately. All work and no play will make me a dull Jane so I guess it won’t be selfish to think about taking a break and plan a vacation somewhere, right?
